The Salvation Army Trading Company launch high fashion campaign with repurposed textiles
We’re delighted to announce the launch of our Redesigning Fashion campaign, produced by leading industry professionals. The fashion forward images for the Salvation Army Trading Company (SATCoL) features a collection of garments repurposed by students from Winchester School of Arts.
As the largest charity owned textiles collector in the U.K, we are actively working to support organisations reduce their carbon footprint and combat climate change. Through our reuse and recycling schemes, we lessen the impact on overflowing landfill sites by extending the useful life of products and minimising waste.
Our new campaign features images from top fashion photographer Catherine Harbour. Displaying an innovative approach to reusing textiles and giving them a new lease of life, the high fashion looks and trend-led styling echo a message of hope and SATCoL’s commitment to saving our planet one donation at a time. Catherine Harbour shared “I really like the work that SATCoL do to support the circular economy and driving environmental change.”
Each year, SATCoL diverts over 250 million items to good causes and over the past ten years alone have raised over £76 million for The Salvation Army and our corporate partners’ charities. The Salvation Army provide practical help for people in need, such as specialist support for survivors and potential victims of modern slavery, shelter for those experiencing homelessness and so much more.
