Pudding the Penguin and Bauble the Bear return with “Gifts that don’t cost the earth… but mean the world.”

Salvation Army volunteers and staff at Nottingham Donation Centre

Salvador Fernandez, Senior Retail Manager for Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd (SATCoL) which operates 240 stores on behalf of the charity, said:

“Pudding and Bauble help us share the message that people can shop in our stores and get fantastic budget-friendly gifts for their loved ones. This is particularly important for people as they face higher energy bills and food costs. Customers will receive a warm welcome and plenty of great quality gifts at excellent value for money.”

Pudding and Bauble, also share a message of sustainability. Salvador said: “By shopping in our stores, you can buy games, designer clothes, beautiful jewellery, vintage vinyl and so much more this Christmas – gifts both new and second-hand. Shopping for family and friends doesn’t have to cost the earth as it’s kinder to your pocket and the planet.”

The Salvation Army supports the most vulnerable in our society and, around Christmas and during the winter months, more services are established to help those in need, such as:

  • holding Christmas lunches for the lonely, older and vulnerable people at centres across the UK

  • looking after people who experience homelessness at one of the charity's Lifehouses, and providing drop-in winter shelters and emergency overnight accommodation

  • operating a Christmas present appeal for children living in poverty who would, otherwise, not experience the joy of receiving a special gift.

On Friday 4th November, SATCoL will launch a competition! To enter, visitors to our shops can take a photo with Pudding and Bauble and use the tag #P&Bphoto. Competition terms and conditions are below.

You can find out more about the competition on the charity shop Facebook page >
